After putting together and airing the Best of 2024 show,  I received a number of positive comments. If you play the best of the best, well, the show cannot help but be really good. Thanks so much for all of your comments, it is greatly appreciated and highly encouraging!

So let's keep a good thing going. On the next edition of the Sunday Jazz Brunch, enjoy the best of 2023. As a certain singer once sang: It was a very good year.

Recently Gabriel Espinosa performed with his superb band. In the photo above, we see Mr. Espinosa feeling the bass, with drummer Graciliano Zambonin reacting to the groove of the moment. The Sunday Jazz Brunch Presents Musician's Corner: Tania Grubbs Air Date: 12/22/2024 on 90.5 WICN 8am-12pm ET LISTEN TO THE SEGMENT HERE   Vocalist Tania Grubbs has released her second album, The Sound of Love . When I looked at the song list, I was reassured and impressed upon finding Duke Ellington's Sound of Love . Her take on this song is masterful. During her Musician's Corner interview, she will talk about two songs on the new CD, Tadd Dameron's If You Could See Me Now , and an original composition entitled The Sculptor's Hands .  What I noticed about Mrs Grubbs is that she finds new ways to express standards from the Great American Songbook.
